Anna Malzer is 27 years old and Denmark's youngest theater director. She has promised Mungo Park in Allerød that she can renew the theater and get young people to buy tickets. Mungo Park's new, young theater director, Anna Malzer takes her mouth full. In addition to working as Denmark's youngest theater director in Allerød, she has promised to write and direct a performance about the fraud accused Britta Nielsen at Mungo Park's sister theater in Kolding. Anna wants to show that she can easily handle both tasks and works around the clock. Something unexpected overturns the load.

Anna Malzer travels to Paris and joins the loud demonstrations of the Yellow Vests to collect material for a play. But is it difficult to sell a show about yellow vests in France to an audience in Denmark? "What does it matter to us in Randers? So the budget falters before the premiere day. Anna is hit by a loss - while she fights against the clock to complete the most difficult performance of her life.

In the midst of her own grief, Anna writes the play 'Tatovering' about a young woman's farewell to her dying father. She has promised Mungo Park to get the young people in the theater and turn around failing sales figures for this year's financial meeting. But an attempt to lure the local high school students into the theater does not go as expected. And leading up to the premiere, Anna encounters unforeseen problems with one of the actors.
