In 1934, Buddhist monks saved the millionaire Franz Hauser from an avalanche in the Himalayas. Back in Brazil he is faced with the jealousy of his bastard brother who, after plotting his death, took his place in the family business. He needs to overcome the obstacles that separate him from the woman he loves, worker Amélia. It's up to Pearl, the fruit of their union, to smooth over the conflicts that prevent their love. Furthermore, Franz and Amelia will receive some news about his forced stay in the Himalayas--and a surprise.

The story revolves around Bhagwan Das, a salesman, who is torn between his personal and professional life. He meets Lord Shiva, who guides him through his various problems and stays with him during his difficult times.

Cam Brooks, a writer, returns to Millsberg, his hometown, and renews his friendship with the editor of the local newspaper, Lloyd Ramsey. The inhabitants of the town were subjects of Cam's stories.
