Kaname and Mai are students at Minoseki Academy, and are chosen to represent the school at a national tournament. Upon arriving at the tournament, Kaname and Mai briefly meet several students from the other participating schools, though Kaname takes a particular interest in Hiyori, as she is intrigued by her fighting style. During the tournament, Kaname, Mai, and Hiyori quickly fight their way to the top, resulting in Kaname and Hiyori reaching the final match. However, instead of battling Kaname, Hiyori instead attempts to assassinate the official observing the match, Yukari Origami. Hiyori's attempt is foiled by Yukari's bodyguards, but Kaname intervenes and both she and Hiyori escape the tournament grounds. Yukari stops her bodyguards from pursuing, letting them get away.

Kanami and Hiyori run from the authorities and Hiyori questions Kanami's motives for helping her. They run and hide in the city areas, where they enjoy themselves while Mai, having gained permission from her school principal, starts searching for them using her family's resources. After an Aradama appears in the city, the pair work together to exterminate it, but are found by Mai as a result, who also was alerted to the Aradama's presence. Hiyori and Mai clash briefly before Kanami stops them, and reveals that Hiyori attacked Yukari because she believes Yukari is actually a disguised Aradama, and Kanami also glimpsed the eye and power of an Aradama when Yukari defended herself. Mai decides to let them go, and gives Kanami the cookies she left behind at the hotel and a contact number before seeing them off.

Hiyori and Kanami are finally introduced to FineMan after escaping on a Mokusa submarine. Meanwhile, in Renpu, Yukina tries to force Sayaka to be injected with aradama, but Sayaka refuses and runs away.

Kanami and the others arrive at Mokusa's headquarters and meet with Origami Yukari's younger sister, Akane. The girls learn the truth of the Great Disaster of Sagami Bay that occurred 20 years ago from her and Friedman.

The Origami family begins investigating Osafune Girls' School and Minoseki Academy for suspected involvement in terrorist attacks. With Mokusa's headquarters attacked and on the brink of destruction, the girls once again reaffirm their resolve.

Using the S equipment container, Kanami and the others break into the Origami mansion and make their way to the inner shrine in order to take down Origami Yukari. With the time limit on the S equipment running out, the elite guard stands in their way.

Successfully overcoming both Maki and Suzuka, Kanami and Hiyori finally square off against Yukari and are quickly overwhelmed by her power. Inheriting their mothers' wills, the girls make one last stand to bring an end to Yukari and Princess Tagitsu.

Kaoru is serving as captain of an expedition mission searching for an aradama in the northern Kanto region. Lacking motivation, Kaoru leaves the search for the aradama up to her subordinates and indulges herself in some comforts.

Chosen to be part of Princess Takiri's defense force against Princess Tagitsu, Hiyori and Kanami once again meet with the eccentric aradama along with Akane in an attempt to get her on their side.
