For a futile mistake Saverio Lamanna, journalist and spokesman at the Ministry of Interior, has lost everything. Destroyed, the man leaves Rome to take refuge in Màkari, a Sicilian village where he has an abandoned holiday home. Saverio is broke, that's why he accepts a gig job as a guide for a food and wine tour. As he shows some of the most picturesque spots of Sicily to a group of tourists, he notices that everybody speaks ill of Olmo (Ivano Marescotti). Olmo is accompanied on this trip by his son Glauco (Daniele Molino), a group of alleged friends and partners, and the enigmatic Katrina (Katia Mironova). When the leader and the main sponsor of the group, targeted by feelings of hatred and resentment, suddenly dies Saverio has no doubts: it's a murder.
