A high school boy Tanaka is easy-going and lethargic, and loves to live calm and quiet life. His close friend Ohta is a reliable boy, and gives him some good advices or takes care of him depending on the situation. One day, Tanaka wants doing strength training even just a bit, because he prevents his arms or legs from going numb when he laze around for a while. He and Ohta play badminton in PE class.

Tanaka doesn't want to lead an eventful life, he prays to God in a shrine not to happen anything every morning. One day, a girl of his classmate Miyano admires his lethargic mood, so she asks him to serve as an apprentice.

Tanaka takes a nap on the rooftop of his high school after he ate lunch too much that had been encouraged by Ohta. After a little while, Ohta remembers that there was a letter of challenge to a duel in Tanaka's shoe locker in this morning.

Ohta and Tanaka almost collide with a girl of their classmate Shiraishi because Ohta ran down the hallway with Tanaka under his arms so as to be in time for class. Boys make a lot of reference materials dirty, so they help her to remake them after school. Shiraishi is nice, a high achiever, and pretty. Everyone believes she is a perfect girl, but she has a secret.

Tanaka has to buy something that his sister Rino asked him last night, but he doesn't remember the details. He and Ohta walk around in a supermarket while they struggle to remember it.

It rains heavily in the morning. Tanaka arrives at school without using his umbrella, not only because it was drizzling when he left home but also it was a pain in the neck for him to use it.

On February 14th, aka Valentine's Day. Japanese people have a custom that girls give a chocolate to their own favorite boy. Tanaka isn't interested in the event, but he gets a shock when he finds a chocolate with a card in his school bag.

Ohta was absent for school because he injured his leg that wound take a week to recover completely. Tanaka has to bring a material for the class to Ohta, but he doesn't remember his address that make Echizen angry.

Tanaka doesn't like some fast food shop, but he goes eating to WcDonald aka Wac with a sweets junkie Ohta just to be sociable. It's comfortable for him in Wac than he expected, he has a very relaxing time. However, they look like difficult customers for an imaginative crew.

One summer day, Tanaka and Ohta go to a pool. Tanaka cannot swim well, but he has his way of relaxing at a pool. / Miyano wants to wear a Yukata (a casual Kimono for summer) for adult women at fireworks display when it'll be held in several days. Girls cooperate to look for it that can be worn by short persons like her.

It decided that Tanaka's class will set up a haunted house for the annual festival in his high school. At first, Tanaka won't join in the preparation, but then he reconsiders when he sees that his friends are enjoying.

Shiraishi is fascinated by Tanaka. She wants to know him more, but it's difficult for her to talk to him because almost always he sleeps or he is on another planet.
