Terms and Conditions set about tracking down whoever murdered Officer Ed 'Binky' Binkerson, an undercover cop who was investigating a series of ice cream van heists. Conditions's childhood friend Nancy Biscuit is preparing to get married, and it seems that her groom-to-be, Desmond Obvious, might be involved in the heists.

Terms and Conditions are reassigned to protect Ivana Jutogrovel, the wife of the Russian Ambassador, who has been receiving death threats from an anonymous caller. Things take a deadly turn when Conditions falls for her, and Terms begins to suspect that she may not be quite as innocent as she appears.

When crime boss Bartholomew Alvin Darius Schyster decides he's had enough of Terms and Conditions ruining his schemes, he frames them for murder. Evading arrest, they head to hide out with Suzy Fandango while they plan their next move. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues as Terms and Conditions race to prove their innocence before they're caught by Bartholomew's crew - or their own.

Chester Cough, domineering campaign manager for Presidential candidate Senator Richard "Sweet" Mud, is murdered, though it appears that Mud himself was the intended victim. Terms and Conditions go on the campaign trail as Senator Mud's security detail but come to suspect his name is mud for more than one reason. Who killed Chester? The Senator, or his powerful wife may well be pulling the strings?

When a mysterious masked killer starts executing criminals across the city, Terms and Conditions find themselves protecting an organised crime informer called Sally Canary, who may well be the real target. Looking for answers they head to question Pedro Imp and Matilda Adam, proprietors of the Fondant Fancy, and fountains of all underground knowledge, but The Orange Menace is hot on their heels and gunning for Sally.

A weekend trip to Captain Rules's cabin turns sinister for Terms and Conditions when they discover a Satanism cult across the lake and try to determine why the sheriff and inhabitants of the nearby small town are treating them so strangely. With the help of local girl, and cult runaway, Dana Dubois they uncover a web of corruption that could ensnare them all.

When informant Jimmy The Snitch gives them a once in a career opportunity to bust mob boss Franky Forty Fingers, Terms and Conditions must get into and wire a mafia owned hotel where Fingers is supposedly making a massive drug deal. Unfortunately the manager, Terry Toweling, is not only a dirty ex-cop, but a dirty ex-cop who happens to have been Terms and Conditions old academy classmate. With his right-hand woman Christie McMisty they run the hotel like a well-oiled but deadly machine. Can they get the evidence they need? Can they turn Christie into an informant? Terms and Conditions may get in but will they ever get out?
