The Teams/Boats
This prestigious week-long regatta is seen through the eyes of three different teams/boats, varying from the premier sailing teams in the competition on the Maxi yachts to the amateur smaller crew. The teams/boats will be followed from the time they prepare for the event, through the inshore races in St. Tropez and on to Genoa via the famous Giraglia lighthouse on Corsica. The key personalities, the technology of the boats and all the elements that contribute to a teams success or failure will be explored. The drama of the week's racing as the teams fight for victory.

A world-renowned skipper - Paul Cayard - provides the 'lens' through which the viewer sees this stunning event. Through unprecedented access the film will follow Cayard at every stage as he prepares himself and his crew for the challenges ahead. Utilising on-board camera and audio technology the viewer will have a unique and intimate insight into the qualities that make a skipper truly 'great' and also the stresses and responsibilities that come with leadership.
