Remi: The boy from Chavanon's village is the presentation of the series and shows us the early days of Remi living with his mother in a modest village in Central France.
After a happy "Thanksgiving Day" Remi finds out that the "father" he loved and was eager to meet, does not love him back and seems to be a cruel, rude and insensitive man.
8-year-old Remi walks many miles in the company of Mr. Vitalis, his dogs and monkey. The beauty of the landscapes he sees and the new things he learns help him overcome the difficulties.
The night falls with a heavy snowfall and taking refuge in a cabin they believe they are safe from the dangers of the night and the wolves that lurk. They do not know that the tragedy is coming.
Vitalis leaves Remi in the care of a friend of him to spend the winter while he looks for work. But that new master who takes care of other children, mistreats and exploits them.
Remi and Vitali have to spend the night outdoors in search of shelter. They embark on the road outside of Paris but there is nowhere to take shelter from the snowstorm that has begun. The tragedy arrives.
After the horrible and tragic night, Remi is found by a family that takes him in like a son. An inspector knows the story of Mr. Vitalis as a great opera singer.
Time passes and Remi feels more and more joyful with his new family. The flower business is doing well but they have debts. The tragedy again comes quickly.
The adversity that has come to the family means that the economic problems have no solution other than the embargo and the jail. The children are sadly separated.
Remi and Mattia find a circus and a monkey runs away with them and the owners don't seem to care. They get to see Alexis who has had a work accident in the mine.
Due to Alexis's accident, Remi replaces him at the coal mine. Everything is going well until a terrible storm raises the water level of the river that threatens the mining shafts.
Recovered from the serious accident Remi and Mattia leave the mining town. They suddenly realize that their musical knowledge is incomplete and they look for a music teacher.
Mattia leaves the music teacher and joins Remi again. They continue their show to earn money and buy a cow for Remi's mother, but there is a lot of competition going on.
Remi and Mattia head to the foster mother's house from which she left so long ago. They go with the gift of a cow like the one that disappeared. And the meeting between mother and son occurs.
Remi's adoptive mother tells him that his real parents are looking for him. Jerome, Remi's evil adoptive father goes to Paris to make inquiries because they offer money. Children also go to Paris.
Before dying, Gerome tells Remy that his real parents are English and live in London. Children to England head to and meet real parents. But really are they?
The Discolls send their henchmen in search of Remi to catch or kill him. On the run Mattia almost drowns and Remi finds an old man who knows of his real parents.
Remi is taken prisoner by the police along with the Driscoll gang and the police do not believe that he is not the son of the bandit. In France, Mrs. Milligan makes inquiries.
In their flight from the police Remi and Mattia get a ticket on a boat to France that belongs to a friend of Bob's. But at night a terrible storm breaks out at sea.
In France children need to travel to meet Mrs Milligan and to earn money they have to work on a farm. Remi's two mothers know each other and have to find him too.
Remi and Mattia arrive at their mother's house and she tells them that Mrs. Milligan is no longer there but in Switzerland to try to cure Arthur and Lissette's speechlessness.
