Sorceress discovers a gateway to another world. She sends Prince Adam and Cringer in to investigate. They find the new world to be enslaved by Hordak and his second in command, Adora.
Hordak drains He-Man of his energy to power up his Magna beam in order to destroy the Whispering Woods, where the Rebels live. Adora finally understands the truth about Hordak and becomes She-Ra to stop him.
He-Man and She-Ra rescue Glimmer's mother, Queen Angella, from the harpies. Convinced that Etheria is in good hands for a time, Adora decides to leave with Adam to visit their parents. Hordak follows.
Hordak and Skeletor kidnap Adora. After she escapes, as She-Ra, she realizes that being back on Eternia is dangerous for her family. She returns to Etheria, with He-Man, just as the Rebels get ready to claim the kingdom of Bright Moon.
Adora is brought aboard the pirate ship of The Sea Hawk, a man who follows his own way. After trading Adora in to Catra, Hawk begins to have a change of heart and tries to rescue her.
When their father's ax is taken, his sons don't know how to tell him. They make up a lie that it got stolen from them. As Bow sets out to find the "thief" he gets captured by the Horde.
Adam takes his grandfather King Miro to Etheria to meet Adora. But the Rebels are undermanned and in trouble as Horde Inspector Darkney wants to erect a dome over the entire Whispering Woods.
Horde commander Dylamug is threatening the villagers of Devlan. Just one little girl, Kristala, is brave enough to seek out help from the Great Rebellion. But only She-Ra and Swift Wind are free to come back with her.
Horde Prime is taking a two-week vacation on the planet Tropica and leaves his flagship, 'the Velvet Glove' in Hordak's keeping. Although he has been ordered not to touch anything, Hordak plans to use the ship to conquer Etheria as well as Eternia. Catching wind of his plan, the Sorceress sends He-Man to Etheria to help She-Ra, but Skeletor is also on his way, wanting the ship for himself.
The Rebels have gathered at Mystacore to celebrate She-Ra's defeat of the evil sorceress Mortella and the reinstating of it's rightful ruler, Castaspella. Adora recounts the entire story to Kowl.
Shadow Weaver infiltrates the celebrations at Mystacor disguised as a young woman to cast a sleeping spell on all the rebels and sends She-Ra into the sixth dimension. Now only Kowl, Madame Razz and Broom are left to save her.
Castaspella uses the Pool of Vision to transport Adam to Etheria. Shadow Weaver uses the Eldritch book of spells to surround the Whispering Woods with the mist of endless sleep.
Bow is recognized while visiting a Twigget Village and has to take a holiday from the Rebellion. But on the way he finds Catra using Twigget slaves and aiming an Eclipse Beam at Castle Bright Moon.
The Sorceress sends Adam to Etheria as He-Man is needed to aid She-Ra in defending the villagers of Dryl who are forced to work the Etherium mines for the Evil Horde.
Frit, an old acquaintance of Madame Razz, has been collecting bottles to build a giant monument to Freedom. When the Horde steal his old horse True Blue and attempt to destroy his monument, the Rebellion comes to his rescue.
One day Madame Razz is escaping a Hordak's soldier and an old tree helps her. She retells her adventure to Adora and Bow and they go on to find the old wizard.
While assisting the Sorceress with her spring cleaning, Orko accidentally ends up on Etheria and is soon captured by the Evil Horde along with Madame Razz. He-Man joins She-Ra to help rescue them.
Skeletor plans to use a Gate-Maker to transport the entire Royal Palace to Etheria and get rid of it. But when Modulok defects to the Horde, old Bone-Face follows him to Etheria and makes an uncomfortable truce with She-Ra and He-Man.
Adora and Bow investigate the disappearance of various animals from the Forest of Freedom, and find out they are being taken to Hordak's Zoo. Kowl meets a female of his species, Kowla, but both are captured by Vultak, Hordak's Zookeeper.
She-Ra and Hordak are pulled into a dark dimension thanks to Catra and Shadow Weaver's combined bumbling. There, the Dark One challenges them to find a way out. But to do so, the sworn enemies may have to work together.
Mystic Isle will rise out of the sea for just one day, and Hordak plans to steal the ancient treasure of the First Ones hidden there. Light Hope calls on She-Ra for help and she in turn rounds up Sea Hawk and his crew.
The Horde and the Rebels investigate three mysterious meteors that have landed in the Valley of the Lost. The rocks turn out to be living beings from the planet Geolon who are looking for a new home as their own is about to be destroyed.
When Modulok and his troops start to terrorize her village, a little girl called Leena seeks out her heroine She-Ra in order to join her fight against the Horde.
