Twig's Tall Tale
At Spell School, Chezz taunts Twigs about his size; he's the smallest Sprite. Feeling he has something to prove, Twigs ropes Tom into a competition against Chezz to collect sparkle spores for Treetog's Sparkle Show in the Fungus Forest without flying - Chezz making them cast a 'No fly' spell on themselves so they can't cheat. Not being able to fly means that Twigs struggles but his problems escalate as Chezz winds him up about the mythical Big Foot Beetle said to guard the sparkle spores and chase small Sprites like him! The Mushas decide to scare the Treelings by pretending to be the Big Foot Beetle but inadvertently call the actual Big Foot Beetle who chases the Mushas and Treelings through the Fungus Forest - seemingly wild and angry. Running into the Treelings, because he's so small, Twigs is sucked up the beetle's nose as his friends bounce off into jeopardy on a lake of slime. Twigs finds and removes a grumbleberry that was trapped in the beetle's nose and finds that it is this object that was making him act in such a wild way. Now tame and friendly, Twigs rides the Big Foot Beetle to rescue his friends and harvest the sparkle spores, realising its not so bad being small after all!

Ranger Tom and the Carrots
The Tree Fu Rangers are on Ariela's Ranch today, trying to win their 'Green Fingers' Badge. Much to the apprehension of his friends, Tom plants some carrot seeds he's brought from the big world and they grow huge! Try as they might, they can't pull them up. Unknown to his friends, Zigzoo rushes off to create an invention to help and starts pulling the carrots down from underground with his new Harvesting Hands invention (a wearable frame with two Helping Hands controlled by joysticks). This sparks fear in the Treelings who thinks the carrots are alive and out to get them. Their fear is fuelled as Zigzoo causes a cave in which creates a sinkhole above that Ariela falls into. Though Tom saves her with Big World Magic, Zigzoo then decides to blast the carrots upwards instead and this only adds to Tom's problems as he tries to reassure his panicked friends that there must be a rational explanation. As the giant carrots rain down, the Treelings fear drives them into a dangerous part of the caverns where they encounter Zigzoo in his wearable invention covered in debris and broken carrot from the cave-in. In their panic to escape this 'carrot monster' they unleash a torrent of sap from a blocked cave and only Tom's Big World Magic can save them. As the flood subsides the Treelings see that the carrot monster is actually Zigzoo and understand what has happened; the carrots are just harmless vegetables after all and actually tasty too. Tom wins his Green Fingers Badge and heads home.

Picture This

Wed, Dec 31, 1969
Tom and Twigs feel that they're ready for bigger things and are excited when Treetog decides to teach them a new tricky spell that can be used to control the magic of an enchanted scroll that brings into being whatever is drawn on its pages. Tom and Twigs feel underwhelmed by the lesson which involves picking up loads of scattered slimeweed seeds in a particular way and decide that they're ready to use the scroll without the controlling spell. They draw a new vehicle to collect the seeds but soon realise that they're not as clever as they think; first missing off something to collect the seeds in, then getting sucked into the collection hopper (only getting out with Big World Magic help) then falling into a trap set by the Mushas who are desperate to plant the seeds and grow slimeweeds all over the castle! Adding and using more and more features to the machine before they're ready or know how to control them leads to further trouble as the machine is given wings and Twigs is left hurtling towards the pond on a collision course. Big World Magic turns the pond to jelly for a safe but messy landing and Tom and Twigs realise that they must complete the task Treetog set to clear up their mess. They find that the specific seed collection movements are the moves of the tricky spell and find that before they know it, they've mastered it and can send their chaotic invention back into the scroll.

Dragon Fruit Fiasco
Zigzoo borrows things from his friends without asking to create an invention to collect special Dragon Berries that are now at perfect ripeness. This leaves Ariela without her Crop Chopper, unable to clear her field to plant a new crop of Thunder popcorn. Squirmtum is left stranded on the roof of Ariela's Barn after Zigzoo takes his Hover Platform and Rickety is left without his web washing-line and almost all of his socks! Tom and Twigs turn detective to find out who has taken all of the missing things and at the end of their trail find the culprit, Zigzoo with loads of fresh Dragon Berries. Unknown to anyone, the berries belong to a giant Boing Beetle which bounces into Treetopolis to get them back. Zigzoo is mortified and heads off to return the taken things and apologise to his friends. Tom and Twigs deliver berries to the Tower for Treetog but have to shelter from the giant bouncing Boing Beetle! Scaring it off with Big World Magic, Tom realises that the beetle is after the berries and an epic chase ensues. The chase eventually leads to the Boing Beetle's home (where Zigzoo took the berries from) and here they discover Boing Beetle babies; the berries are their food! Everything falls into place and Zigzoo apologises; he'll never take things without asking again.

Ranger Tom: A Badge Too Far
It's a bumper badge day at Tree Fu Rangers Club with three new badges up for grabs. Tom and Twigs are desperate to get more Tree Fu Ranger badges than Chezz who keeps taunting them that he has one more. To beat Chezz, Tom and Twigs take on two badge tasks at the same time, having to rush between helping Ariela with an important, time-critical harvest of Rainbow Berries (they ripen fast, going through all of the tasty colours of the rainbow then turning black and rotten) and Zigzoo who needs help returning some rare lost baby beetles to their family before their migration off the tree. Cutting corners at every turn, trying to do two tasks at once causes chaos in the Fungus Forest and on the Ranch where their use of Zigzoo's Robot leads to disaster for both tasks. With the Rainbow Berries heading for rotten black and the baby beetles scattered and almost stranded in sticky slime, Tom and Twigs are certain that their chances of getting anything right are sunk. Forced to confess to Zigzoo and Ariela, they find they have a last chance to snatch victory from defeat but they'll have to each do one task and do it properly. Teaming up with their friends they get to work and win a badge each. Lucky for them, Chezz fails to win any badges at all so they've all got the same number of badges by the end of the day and Tom leaves happy!

King Stink

Wed, Dec 31, 1969
Stink accidentally finds the legendary Golden Crown of Greatness and becomes King of Treetopolis. Everyone except Tom, is caught up in the crown's enchantment, which causes them to treat Stink like a great King and do anything he asks. Stink revels in being able to do what he wants and so abuses the power, ordering piles of trillicakes for a feast and fungi to be planted all around the castle courtyard. Tom tries but can do nothing to stop Stink as only the wearer of the crown can remove it. Stink, however finds that it's not all fun and games being King, as his subjects constantly ask him to do things for them. Wanting to be left alone, Stink decides to keep everyone out of the castle by planting a large fungus to block their way. It turns out to be a whirlpool fungus, which puts himself and all the others in danger. As Stink realises the predicament he's in, he gives up the crown and Tom saves him from the updraft of the fungus. Stink and Tom then put the crown out of harm's way in the bottomless pit. Stink decides that being able to do what he likes is not quite what it's cracked up to be.

The Sprite Before Christmas
It's Winterfest in Treetopolis - an event just like Christmas. Twigs can't wait to show Tom the courtyard where there are presents, coloured lights (fireflies), crackers (cracker pods) and a Christmas Tree-shaped fungus. In their excitement, Tom and Twigs rush in and pop crackers. Twigs gives his present to Tom - it's a super Trickshot Squizzle - he rushes into using it before reading the instructions. The Squizzle hits the tree which falls and scares away the fireflies and smashes the all-important Star-Crystal decoration; they've destroyed Winterfest! Tom and Twigs race around trying to find replacement items for everything they've broken but in their rush they cause more and more chaos, ruining the Winterfest events for the Sprites and Treetog along the way. It's only when they learn that all good things come to those who wait and the virtue of patience and finally take their time to do a proper job that they can make the courtyard look better than ever before and save Winterfest for everyone.
