The Cantinera is a story of a woman who was forced by her mother to drink with men in Latin bars when she was thirteen years old. Twenty three years later, she is still drinking thirty beers a night, five nights a week, but longs for sobriety and a second chance.

Nature steps on centers of human population like people step on ant hills...by accident...but the damage is already done. Ants regroup and rebuild immediately as a unit...heroic in their efforts. Do humans have that level of heroism in the face of an environmental catastrophe? Who exemplify this level of non-judgmental selfless heroism? There are heroes. This movie is a short story of hope.
