An 86-year-old woman, June Roberts, is stabbed and strangled in her home, within the secure walls of the upscale gated community of Canyon Lake, California. Before the body is cold, another elderly woman, Norma Davis , is brutally slain. Investigators can't find a motive, and the violence against the frail victims is so shockingly over-the-top, they fear there's a psychopathic serial killer on the loose.
