Bob discovers some bats in the school belfry which need a new home. Meanwhile, Mr Beasley has lost his pigeons and accidentally destroyed his bookcase in the process. Wendy helps to repair it.
When Molly finds a family of otters playing in the stream, Trix the forklift truck wants to watch them but the otters are scared by the big, shiny machine. The only way for the otters to be unaffected by Trix's presence is for her to camouflage herself.
Mr Ellis is renovating the museum's annex and needs the roof and the floor to match the rest of the building. JJ suggests using materials from a demolished house which may still be at the recycling centre, but Spud has already used some of the floorboards for a sculpture.

Bob is making a through-lounge at the Bentley's while Wendy goes to J.J.'s yard with Lofty and Dizzy to collect a steel joist and other materials. Meanwhile, Lofty accidentally damages a bridge, which the machines must fix.
Mr. Fothergill has a nasty case of dry rot, so Bob and his crew will have to use some smelly chemicals to fix it which means relocating Mr. Fothergill's pet parrot, Hamish.
