Located in the stunning Italian town of Portofino, this event is all about tradition. All the entries are considered 'classic yachts' and we will bring you the action as they are put through their paces on the race course. Rolex Capri Sailing Week is the start of the Mediterranean season for the racing classes. Hosted by the yacht club Capri, this regatta will see some of the world's top one design boats go head to head. The strikingly picturesque island provides a beautiful backdrop for the action.

The Romance of the Rock
One of the most renowned distance races in the Mediterranean, the Giraglia Rolex Cup has been a tradition for European sailors for over 50 years. From the race start off the historic port of Saint Tropez the fleet heads through the idyllic Iles des Hyeres and across the sea to round the Giraglia, a rocky islet off northern Corsica, before racing to the finish off San Remo, a total distance of 243 nautical miles.

We look at what it takes to put together a race-winning team, the demands of driving both a boat and a car at the limit of performance for 24 hours and of staying on the pace in all conditions and through day and night. The Giraglia and the Le Mans 24 hours - two unique challenges demanding perfection to win.

The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is one of the highlights of the Mediterranean sailing calendar. The Costa Smeralda provides a stunning setting as the glamour of the dock mixes with the world's most beautiful racing yachts. This show will follow all the action over this week long event. Porto Cervo becomes the centre of the Nautor's Swan world in September 2010 with upwards of 100 Swan yachts competing in this week long regatta. Recognized worldwide as one of the pre-eminent designers/ builders of luxury sailing yachts, this biennial event attracts both racing and racer/cruiser yachts.
